Accident investigations conducted by the Transportation Safety Board have made it clear that ineffective communication during emergency situations and/or the complete lack thereof, have contributed to tragic results for commercial fishermen. Get the training you need from experienced and qualified commercial fishermen who can demystify and instruct you in the proper and effective use of radio communications on board your vessel.
BC commercial fishermen cost: $180 CAD

This 1-day workshop will show you how. Learn all about the uses of marine radios, choice of frequencies, operation, phonetic alphabet, procedural words and phrases, as well as Digital Selective Calling (DSC) and the Global Maritime Distress and Safety System (GMDSS).
