Please note that a minimum of 5 participants are required for the SVOP course to proceed. If the minimum requirement is not met one week before the start of the course, Fish Safe will be in contact to offer a full refund of the course registration fee. Certification: A SVOP certificate will be issued by Transport Canada to all course graduates. A Fish Safe Safe on the Wheel course certificate will also be issued to all course graduates.

  • For small vessels (under 15gt) the SVOP certificate meets the Vessel Master Certificate requirements.

  • For larger vessels (over 15gt) the SVOP certificate provides the training / skills for course participants to take safe wheel turns
